Strategic Planning Efforts
Strategic Planning for Colleges of Pharmacy
Bernard Consulting Group (BCG) has been retained to do strategic planning for the School of Pharmacy at Ole Miss and the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy. We will be starting the process for both of these institutions by first developing a comprehensive research plan. Following that we will address the overall strategic plan for the College or School of Pharmacy. We continue our work on the strategic plans for Oregon State University College of Pharmacy, Ferris State University College of Pharmacy, University of North Carolina Chapel Hill College of Pharmacy and St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
Infusion Pump Summit
Following three national summits that Bernard Consulting Group (BCG) facilitated on issues with Smart Pumps, BCG was hired by Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory to work with key experts to develop guidelines to design the software prototype to make smart pumps more efficient, effective and safer.
Insulin Use Safety Expert Meeting
Bernard Consulting Group will facilitate a meeting to help the ASHP Foundation identify the most common causes of problems or medication errors in the use of insulin in the hospital. BCG will work to reach consensus on strategies to try to overcome or prevent those errors and also list suggestions for research that needs to be done related to this topic.
Community Engagement
City-Wide Visioning effort for Pittsburg, Kansas--BCG has been retained to do a comprehensive visioning/strategic planning process in partnership with the Pittsburg area Chamber of Commerce. It is anticipated that over 750 community residents, community leaders, key stakeholders, and businesses will be actively engaged in this process over the next year.
